The Best Gifts for Homeschool Moms
I love it when my kids pay extra attention to me, I really do! Not only them, but my husband is always so thoughtful…he’ll go check the Amazon cart for what I had in there and buy it for me! Ha! Even so, he knows how to pick the best gifts for homeschool moms and make them literally last all throughout the year. And that is the best gift for me: when I can use something to make my life easier!

Membership Gift Ideas for Homeschool Moms
I love memberships! It is probably my favorite of all of these because they are so useful. Here are my favorite memberships and what your lucky lady will definitely love:
Amazon Prime
Amazon Prime gets you free shipping and usually in 2 days, regardless of how many packages you order or things you buy. Not only that, but you also get Amazon Music included for free (similar to Apple Music and Spotify) as well as Prime Video for streaming! Instead of renting movies or shows, see if it’s available on Prime so you can watch it for free! There are a ton more benefits included with your Amazon Prime account. You can pay yearly or monthly. You can even get a discount if you have an EBT card or government assistance or if you’re a student, among other possible discounts. At the time of this writing, the discount is 50%!
My Teaching Library: Annual Membership or Lifetime Membership
Your homeschool mama is absolutely going to love this membership with My Teaching Library! With a membership, you can access every single one of the thousands of resources inside. Without a membership, you can purchase resources individually, but if you want some teaching resources or homeschool supplemental curriculum resources, this is where to get it.
Netflix
Nowadays, I don’t really know very many people without some sort of streaming membership. We love Netflix, especially because you can create individual profiles for each person in the family and you can watch on different devices. All kinds of new and old school movies and shows are on it — literally hundreds of thousands of movies and shows and documentaries at your fingertips!
Fandago
Similar to Netflix, Fandago streams movies and shows and I found many of them are different from what Netflix or even Amazon Prime Video offers. Go figure. However, the movies are top-knotch and the price is extremely affordable! Probably one of the most affordable streaming memberships out there! She’ll love being able to watch things on the go and access movies and shows she can’t get anywhere else — all included!
Curiosity Stream
This is another streaming membership, like Amazon Prime and Netflix, however, Curiosity Stream is specifically created for educational purposes. You’ll find thousands and thousands of shows or documentaries on here for all ages, even those that mom will love. Plus, they always have something you can add to a lesson or what you’re currently studying! This is actually less the $20 a year to access everything!
ASTC passport program
Through the Association of Science and Technology Centers, you can find science centers and museums all over the United States! Go to the site to find the nearest science center by you.
City Pass
Depending on where you live, you could acquire a City Pass (if the city has one available), which gets you into tons of places either for free or at steep discounts. They usually have one in larger cities so it’s possible they have one available near you! And get this — several are free! Some are paid for as well, but I promise you, you’ll make up for the cost in just the first visit. Access museums, centers, historical sites, anything popular or trending in the area, and much, much more with a City Pass. It’s definitely worth looking up!
My Favorite Electronic Gifts and Gadget Gifts for Homeschool Moms
Electronics make life easier, let’s admit it. Our family (and all of our families) are “tech people” so we’ve used some gadgets here and there. 😉 Here’s a list of some of my faves and some on my wish list:
Apple AirPods Pro
First, Apple AirPods Pro has noise-canceling capabilities which is the selling point for me because it can get really loud in the house with kids in there all day long. Another thing, you can listen to homeschool podcasts, curriculum review videos, audiobooks, Biblical video apps, and anything on the go while you’re doing stuff around the house. I always wear my Apple AirPods Pro because nothing beats a headache like noise-canceling.
Oontz Bluetooth Speaker
I’ve loved this speaker since my honey, Aaron, gifted it to me for Mother’s Day2020! (And it wasn’t even in my Amazon cart. He did good.) This little, small-sized speaker is used for pretty much everything under the sun — homeschooling, podcasts, videos, music, personal development, audiobooks, you name it, I’ve done it with this Oontz Bluetooth speaker. Don’t let this small size fool you though…it pumps out a BIG sound!
Apple iPad with Apple Pencil
There’s nothing like using your own tablet to be able to digitally write on with an Apple Pencil. You can seriously write right on the iPad with the Pencil! It’s the coolest thing ever. She can write inside on a planner or worksheets, write in OneNote or Evernote, or draw! (If she likes to draw, I seriously recommend the Apple app, Procreate!) The newest version iPad and Pencil is the absolute best! The prior Pencil was fine too, but the current new Apple Pencil is extremely just like a real-life physical writing tool! Like, it’s so accurate it’s unbelievable! She’ll be able to even create lesson plans with this! You can get the Apple iPad Pro and it’ll work perfectly with the new generation Apple Pencil (they were literally made for each other).
Unique Household Items as Gifts for Homeschool Moms
One of the coolest things I think I could get being the homeschool mom that I am is something like a New Age gadget that helps around the house! Similar to electronics, but they’re in their own category!
TocMoc Vacuum Cleaner: Cordless Vacuum Cleaner, 5-in-1 Lightweight Stick/Handheld Vacuum Rechargeable, Powerful Suction
This vacuum cleaner revolutionized my home! It really did. Now I love vacuuming everything around the house, carpet, and bare floors. It is SUPER easy to get rid of the waste and it has a few different ways you can use it around the house (hence, the 5-in-1). I LOVE this vacuum cleaner and seriously use it every single day. Not only is it cordless but it’s lightweight and it can get hard-to-reach areas even when it’s laid down all the way flat. It is seriously one of the best gifts for homeschool moms!
FUZOTO F6S Robot Vacuum Cleaner: Tangle-Free Suction, Automatic Self-Charging Robotic Vacuum, WiFi/App/Alexa, Super Quiet Cleaning Robot
Yet another handy New Age gadget, this Fuzoto is an automatic floor vacuum cleaner that has a WiFi/App/Alexa capabilities and it automatically self-charges! Like, “whoa” is right. It’s so amazing, you can literally just turn it on and let it vacuum your house all on its own without having to even bother with it very much. It even has a remote control! She will SURELY love this robot helper around the house! “My, your house looks so clean!” 😏
BELLA Immersion Hand Blender
Perfect for the smaller kitchen, this handheld blender includes durable & removable dishwasher safe stainless steel blade system & whisk attachment. Ergonomic grip for comfortable use. Blend, whip, chop & puree directly into tall pots & pans. A quick grab when you need to quickly blend something!
My Top Homeschool Books as Gifts for Homeschool Moms
Of course, I have to add some homeschool books to the list since, after all, these gifts are what make the perfect gifts for homeschool mom!
Home Learning Year By Year
This is a comprehensive guide to designing homeschool curriculum! This makes the perfect gift for your homeschool mom! I love this! I seriously refer to it ALL THE TIME throughout the year, and not only when I’m prepping for the upcoming new school year. It’s such a great resource that you know what to teach for your kiddo for that year. And it includes glorious book and curriculum suggestions to go along with the Scope and Sequence.
Books to Build On: A Grade-by-Grade Resource Guide for Parents and Teachers (Core Knowledge Series)
This wonderful resource is my #2 book go-to book for homeschool prepping (Home Learning Year By Year is my #1). I’m a HUGE fan of the Core Knowledge Sequence/Series, which is a free scope and sequence you can download as well as free curriculum to go with that scope and sequence. So its book was a no-brainer for me to get. Books to Build On is a homeschool resource guide that includes all book suggestions for all grade levels. It also coincides with its curriculum (to download for free or to purchase the print copies) and its in-depth Scope and Sequence. Teachers and homeschool moms alike love this book, so it is one of the best gifts for homeschool moms.
The Confident Homeschooler: How to Thrive in the Day-to-Day by Pam Barnhill
This was actually the very first homeschool book I ever read and, because I did read it, I was able to grasp homeschooling on a whole new, understandable level. Not only that, but I was even able to wrap my head around the whole homeschool concept, decide on how I wanted my homeschool to look like, and even plan out a schedule accordingly. All in all, it truly helped me feel understood and balanced in this homeschooling lifestyle and I find myself going back to this particular book every once in a while. I couldn’t recommend this book enough. It makes the perfect homeschool mom gift.
The Child’s Bible Story by Catherine F. Vos
The Child’s Bible Story is a fascinating way to read the Bible to your children. It goes in the same order as the Holy Bible, however, its context is more like a storyline. It is sectioned by story, or what the section is about, and it doesn’t include exact books or scripture verses or their numbers. It just like one big, long story. Which is really how the Bible is, anyway.
I read this book so often to my kids. They’re able to truly grasp the meanings of the biblical text I read when reading from this storybook. It’s wonderfully written and amazingly mirrors the Holy Bible itself.
Homeschool Supplies Makes Perfect Gifts for Homeschool Moms
There is a wish list for all of us homeschool mamas and these items are no doubt on her list as well (unless she already has them!).
The Cinch Book Binding Machine, Version 2 by We R Memory Keepers
I adore The Cinch Book Binding Machine because it can bind any size with different types of coil. There’s a video where you can see how simple it is to use. It’s also one of the most affordable ones out there! You can create keepsakes, scrapbooks, projects, planners, notebooks, memory books, etc. This makes one of the best gifts for homeschool moms!
Epson EcoTank ET-2720 Wireless Color All-in-One Supertank Printer with Scanner and Copier
I’ve studied the major differences between Epson EcoTank, HP Envy, and Canon’s MegaTank. My conclusion is that the Epson EcoTank is the best. Although this 2720 model does not have duplex (print 2-sided) setting, the model 2750 does; however, it’s pretty tough to find the 2750 model available and in stock on Amazon. I did find the 2750 model in stock on Dell website though at the same price point as Amazon (during the time of this writing), so that’s a win! Regardless, the 2720 still saves you sooo much ink. You can print thousands of pages of black and white and color and it’ll still have a lot of ink available due to their ink bottles. It says it’ll take 2 year to run out of that first set of ink! This is a steal for any homeschool mom whoo prints a lot!
DYMO Label Maker
If mama has boxes and organized contractions as well as different binders and storage areas, you might want to be a little extra thoughtful and get her a DYMO Label Maker. Seriously, it makes it one of the perfect gifts for homeschool moms! It seems like such a simple thing, really, but it will make such a huge impact and difference inside her homeschool. Of course, you can use this label maker for more than just homeschooling!
